Can you name three female inventors? It’s not easy when only 10.9% of US patents are held by women (up from 7.2% since 2016).
On International Women’s Day, we encouraged more girls to get into STEM by giving them role models and celebrating the amazing contributions of female inventors throughout history. We started the Microsoft Patent Program, an ongoing program that helps female inventors obtain patents globally.
Since its inception in 2016, the Microsoft Patent Program has achieved remarkable success, securing a total of 10 patents, 1 patent pending, and counting for young women across the globe.
