Can you name three female inventors? Not so easy is it? It doesn’t help that only 7% of US patents are held by women.
On International Women's Day, we launched a web film to make sure girls knew that not everything is 'man-made' and that women in STEM have invented tons of amazing things. To encourage girls to #MakeWhatsNext, Microsoft launched the Patent Program - an annual effort that provides young women with the knowledge and funding to get patents. Within a few months, we helped 4 female teams from four different countries file patents for their inventions.
